- Housing and Redevelopment Senior Manager [PHA Director]
Description
The City of Chandler Public Housing Authority is seeking a Housing and Redevelopment Senior Manager. The Division is responsible for the management of site-based and scattered-site public housing units, the Housing Choice Voucher program, as well as Veterans Affairs Supporting Housing (VASH) Vouchers and Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA). The city is currently undertaking the conversion of two public housing sites under the Rental Assistance Demonstration Program (RAD). Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Business Administration, Social Work or related field; and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in public housing administration, to include management and policy development experience, and three (3) years of supervisory experience; and a valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Desired Qualifications:
Certification as a Public Housing Manager (PHM) or Housing Choice Voucher Executive Manager (HCVEM) through a HUD-recognized program. Experience with mixed-finance development, RAD conversions, or other innovative housing strategies. Experience working within a municipal government structure and familiarity with local government budgeting, procurement, and administrative processes
