Position Overview
The Senior Vice President of Business Integrity leads the development of a resilient, values driven framework that safeguards ethical practice and organizational accountability.
This executive role blends visionary leadership with hands-on stewardship of programs that ensure we deliver safe, high quality, and equitable services.
As a trusted advisor to senior leadership and the Board, the SVP fosters a culture where integrity and inclusion thrive — balancing regulatory requirements with our people-centered mission. This leader will guide teams across compliance, privacy, quality, and risk, shaping an organizational environment grounded in transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Program Oversight
- Develop and execute an enterprise-wide strategy for ethics and business integrity.
- Establish long-term goals, policies, and performance metrics.
- Lead initiatives that elevate ethical practice, strengthen regulatory readiness, and reinforce organizational resilience.
Risk, Compliance, & Governance
- Advise senior leaders and the Board on risk, compliance, privacy, and governance matters.
- Oversee risk identification, assessment, and mitigation across clinical, community, and operational settings.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements (including HIPAA, Medicaid, EOHHS, DOJ/OIG standards).
- Lead internal audits, investigations, and corrective action plans.
Privacy & Data Governance
- Oversee privacy and data governance programs protecting client and employee information.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA and applicable privacy laws.
- Partner with IT and clinical teams on privacyby design and secure data practices by design and secure data practices.
Quality Assurance & Auditing
- Direct a comprehensive quality management and auditing framework.
- Facilitate the Patient Care Assessment Committee in alignment with its charter.
Incident Response & Enforcement
- Lead investigations into potential violations of laws, standards, and the code of conduct.
- Oversee incident response, crisis management, and business continuity planning.
Training, Communication, & Culture
- Design and implement organization-wide ethics and compliance training.
- Build and champion a culture of integrity, inclusion, and respect.
- Promote risk awareness in operational and strategic planning.
Policy, Contracts, & Insurance
- Supervise contract management and organizational policy governance.
- Manage the corporate insurance portfolio in collaboration with brokers and captive programs.
- Serve as liaison for legal matters, including subpoenas and regulatory inquiries.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead and mentor high-performing teams in ethics, compliance, quality, risk, and privacy.
- Collaborate with clinical, operations, HR, and executive leaders to align integrity initiatives with service delivery.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal staff and external regulators.
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in risk management, compliance, privacy, or legal affairs—preferably in human services, behavioral health, healthcare, or nonprofit environments
- Advanced degree in Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or related field.
- Juris Doctor (JD) preferred but not required—we strongly encourage highly qualified candidates without a JD who bring significant experienceand expertise in the field.
- Deep understanding of behavioral health, developmental disabilities, and related regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical leadership and promoting equity across diverse populations.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to influence at the senior executive and board level and lead cross-functional teams.
