Company Overview
Fayette Companies is a behavioral health organization located in Peoria, Illinois. We provide services for individuals with serious mental illness and substance use disorders through our Human Service Center programs. We also provide services as True North Solutions, focusing on the human factor at work providing employee assistance services and counseling to address life challenges.
Fayette Companies believes in the use of evidence-based practices, which means we incorporate scientific research into our treatments. Fayette also participates in research at the national and international levels.

Company History
In February of 1976, four not-for-profit providers of alcoholism, mental health and drug abuse services consolidated into a single organization that would become Human Service Center/Fayette Companies. The vision was to reduce duplicative costs of separate entities while improving the ability to serve persons with multiple problems.
Today, Human Service Center/Fayette Companies, located in Peoria, Illinois, employs approximately 300 individuals, including psychiatrists, physicians, mental health counselors, alcohol and drug counselors, managerial professionals and administrative and support personnel.
Celebrating 30 years in 2006, Human Service Center/Fayette Companies offers comprehensive treatment services for adults with a serious mental illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or major depression.
Services range from a 24-hour mobile crisis response through our Emergency Response Service (ERS) to community-based case management. Two full-time psychiatrists and a nurse psychiatric practitioner provide psychiatric evaluation and psychotropic medication prescribing and monitoring. Methadone and suboxone treatment for heroin addiction, a women’s residential treatment program for addiction, and addiction services to certain criminal justice programs are also offered by the Human Service Center/Fayette Companies.
